戰後德國趨向復甦，解放對同志族群卻不意味著自由。一條充滿著歧視及偏見的律令讓同性戀者 Hans 盡受牢獄之災，從集中營到監獄，自由不見天日。Hans 甫到監獄，便遭到囚友 Viktor 的不屑及鄙視；後來，二人因了解而逐漸成為對方的守護者。無法捨棄做自己的 Hans，在三十年間不停進出監獄，再度鋃鐺入獄的他與 Viktor 在高牆下重逢。被社會遺棄，視為渣滓的兩個淪落人，漸漸發展出一種跨越各種定義的愛，既真實又朦朧。
In post-war Germany, Hans, a gay man, is caught in a continuous cycle of surveillance and incarceration as a result of paragraph 175, a law which criminalises homosexuality. After being ‘liberated’ by the Allied forces in 1945, Hans is transferred directly from a concentration camp to prison to finish out his sentence. There, he develops an unlikely bond with his cellmate Viktor, a convicted murder. As Hans returns to prison again and again over a period of three decades, a relationship that begins with revulsion blossoms into something far more tender.

Sebastian Meise
Sebastian Meise is an Austrian director and screenwriter. His acclaimed debut feature film STILLIFE premiered at San Sebastian IFF and won several awards such as Best Feature Film at Diagonale Film Festival. His documentary film OUTING was presented at the Hot Docs Festival in Toronto. His second feature film GREAT FREEDOM with German shooting star Franz Rogowski and Berlinale Silver bear awardee Georg Friedrich in the leading roles will have its world premiere in the Official Selection Un Certain Regard of the Cannes Film Festival 2021. He co-founded the Vienna based production company FreibeuterFilm.
